形態特徵

• An annual fleshy herb; stems creeping at base, with glandular hairs throughtout the whole plant, ca. 10 cm high.
• Leaves membranaceous, somewhat thick, opposite or rarely verticillate, ovate or rounded-ovate, 1.5–2 cm long, 1.3–1.5 cm broad, obtuse at apex, suddenly cuneate at base, entire; petioles 5–8 mm long.
• Flowers in cymes, pedicellate; pedicels 2–5 mm long; sepals 5, oblong-triangular, 1.5 mm long, 0.7 mm broad, densely hairy outside, glabrous inside, obtuse at apex; petals 5, lanceolate, 3–3.5 mm long, 0.7–1 mm broad, acuminate at apex, truncate at base, white; stamens 10; filaments filiform, 2 mm long, glabrous; anthers globose, 0.25 mm in diameter; glands 5, opposite with carpels, rectangular, 0.2 mm long; carpels 5, lanceolate, glandular-hairy; styles cuneate on both sides.
• Follicles 5, elliptic, acute; seeds ovoid, elliptic, truncate on both sides, about 0.5 mm long, with 8–13 deep grooves; testa hard, dark brown.

物候

Flowering and fruiting periods from April to May.

分布

• 台灣 : only found in Wulai, rather rare.
• 世界 : Southern part of China.
